Robert Edward Becker

Robert E. Becker 'Bob' age 71 of Oconomowoc, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 19, 2014. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Diane Becker (nee Hart) and his children Shelli (Tim) Krings, Julie (Mike) Prangley and Rob (Molly) Becker. His loving grandchildren Katy, Megan, Abbey, Tony, Lauren, Isabella and Carson. He is further survived by his brother Paul (Jean) and sister Joyce (Glenn), his mother-in-law Maryanna Hart, brothers-in-law Ron (Debbie) and Jeff (Shelli) and sister-in-law Barb (Jeff) along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Bob is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Mildred Becker and his father-in-law Virgil 'Butch' Hart. A visitation for Bob will be held on May 27, 2014 at St. Jerome Catholic Church (995 Silver Lake St. Oconomowoc, WI) from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 P.M. with Father John Yockey presiding. Burial will follow Mass at St. Jerome Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the St. Jerome Building Fund, Redemptorist Retreat Center or to St. Vincent de Paul. Bob was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Oconomowoc Legion Post 91 and he proudly served his country in the Air Force. He worked in the construction industry for over 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and he took pride in watching his son and grandsons play baseball and was a big fan of the Five O's and the Brewers. He loved fishing, cooking, gardening, sports and volunteering in his free time to help others. No was not in his vocabulary. Bob was a man of deep faith who loved his church, family and friends and he will truly be missed by all that knew him. The family wishes to the thank the staff at the Madison VA Medical Center, Lake Country Health and Rehabilitation and Allay Hospice for all the dedicated care they gave to Bob.
