Nicholas E. Pfannenstiel age 64 of Oconomowoc, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2014. Nick was born on August 8, 1950 in Topeka, KS to Edward and Catherine Pfannenstiel. He was married on May 27, 1972 to Lynnette Darling in Salina, KS. Nick and his family moved to Wisconsin in 1993 and he was employed as a safety director for several transportation companies before his health issues with diabetes lead him into early retirement. Nick is survived by his loving wife Lynnette and he was a the proud father of Traci (Richard) Zupke and Jason Pfannenstiel (Tiffany Strey). Nick's grandchildren were is greatest delight! He was the proud grandfather to Alexander and Amber Zupke. He is further survived by his brother William (Pam) Pfannenstiel of Garland, TX and his sister Susan Pfannenstiel of Topeka KS, his sister-in-law Marilyn Vaughan of Leawood KS, brother-in-laws Don (Linda) Darling and Douglas (Paula) Darling of Leavenworth, KS along with nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Nick will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 12:00 PM at St. Jerome's Catholic Church followed by a burial at St. Jerome Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association. Nick will be truly missed by his family and friends and all that knew him.
