Harvey J. Klotz of the Town of Oconomowoc, formerly of Newburg, WI, died and went to his Heavenly Home on February 27, 2020 at the age of 96. He was born in Milwaukee to the late William and Nina Klotz (Hanrahan). He served in WWII in the China-Burma India and Pacific Ocean Area as a Navigator Bombardier on B-29’s. Harvey was blessed by two wonderful wives, the late Jean Klotz (Zaleski), and the late Jeanette Klotz (nee Schrauth, formerly Brodzeller). He was preceded in death by his daughter Kathleen, his son Dennis Klotz, his daughter-in-law Wendy Klotz (Gerlach), and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his cherished children, John (Kim) Klotz and James Klotz, as well as this step-children, Victor (Corianda) Brodzeller, Sharon (former husband, Keith) Gauger, Robert (Lori) Brodzeller, Gary Brodzeller, Matt (Karen) Brodzeller, Mike Brodzeller and Mark (Gayle) Brodzeller. He is further survived by three brothers Tom Klotz, Dan (Judy) Klotz, Roger Klotz and one sister Eileen (John) Gibbs. He also has many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. A special note to his friends and caregivers at The View at Pine Ridge. Harvey returned home from the war and went to work for Western Electric, later changing careers to become a master mold maker for MoldCraft and the Kelch Corporation. He was very involved in the Fredonia/Waubeka/Newburg/West Bend Communities through the VFW, American Legion, Moose Lodge and his church. Harvey is a Life Member for the VFW, originally Post 7037 and now Post 2260. He was a past Commander and rose to District 6 Adjutant in 1990-91. Harvey participated in many VFW parades, picnics, events and especially the National Flag Day Foundation with America’s Bi-Centennial celebrations in 1976. In later years he served at many elections in Newburg. He went on his Honor Flight in November 2008. Harvey will be remembered for his ability to make friends, his service to his country and his community, his love for his family and his warm smile. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 4:00pm-6:00pm, at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, W359 N8512, Brown St, Oconomowoc, WI, with the Mass of Christian Burial at 6:00pm. Fellowship to follow. Interment will take place on Saturday, March 7th at 10:00am at Wisconsin Memorial Park with Military Rites accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorial in Harvey’s name to St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, the VFW Post 2260, or the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, PO Box 867, Menomonee Falls, WI 53052 or at starsandstripeshonorflight.org appreciated.
