History

Pagenkopf Funeral Home has been serving Oconomowoc area families for years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come.

Arthur Pagenkopf

Arthur Pagenkopf began the Pagenkopf funeral business in 1913. Arthur and his wife Weida lived in Ashippun, Wisconsin, and held funeral services in their home and local churches.

The Second Generation

Arthur and Weida's son, Erhard Pagenkopf, followed his father's example and became a funeral director himself. Erhard and his wife Angeline eventually purchased the business, allowing Arthur to retire.

The Third Generation

In 1967, when the third generation of the family entered the business, the Pagenkopf Funeral Home was built in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Erhard's son Keith Pagenkopf became a funeral director, along with his brother-in-law Robert Drenk. Keith's wife Ronna and his sister Donna Drenk worked side-by-side with their spouses to help families in times of sadness.

The Fourth Generation

Kevin Pagenkopf graduated from mortuary school in 1999. As great-grandson of Arthur Pagenkopf, he became the fourth generation of funeral directors at Pagenkopf Funeral Home. Kevin is joined by his wife, Cindy.
